The In-Direct Buyer is responsible for managing daily procurement activities to support plant operations, ensuring costs remain within budget, driving cost improvement initiatives, and maintaining strong supplier relationships to provide timely support during unexpected plant shutdowns or urgent business requirements. • Manage indirect procurement activities to support plant operations, ensure supply continuity, and achieve cost control objectives. • Collaborate with Plant, MP&L (Material Planning & Logistics), PD (Product Development), Finance, and suppliers to resolve supply and project-related issues. • Monitor supplier performance and financial stability to mitigate supply risks and protect business continuity. • Conduct supplier selection, quotation evaluation, cost analysis, and commercial negotiations. • Participate in SOW (Statement of Work) development, technical reviews, and supplier nomination processes. • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support operational and project requirements. • Drive cost reduction initiatives through market benchmarking, cost breakdown analysis, pricing agreement management, and supplier negotiations. • Analyze labor and raw material cost trends and minimize the impact of cost increases. • Coordinate new supplier onboarding and phase-in activities to ensure smooth implementation with minimal risk.
