    • Java Backend Developer (PIM System)

      About the Role: In this role, you will focus on developing and optimizing our Product Information Management (PIM) system for a major overseas client in the e-commerce space. You will design and maintain robust microservices that handle large-scale product data ingestion, catalog management, and syndication to various sales channels. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work deeply with complex data modeling, advanced SQL optimization, and modern Java technologies in a highly collaborative international environment. Key Responsibilities: 　•　PIM System Core Development: Design, develop, and maintain backend functionalities for catalog management, master data tracking, and product data localization. 　•　Data Architecture & SQL Optimization: Write complex, high-performance SQL queries and manage relational database schemas to ensure fast data retrieval and data integrity across millions of product SKUs. 　•　Microservices Design: Build, deploy, and maintain resilient, scalable microservices that facilitate seamless data synchronization and integration with downstream e-commerce platforms. 　•　API & Interface Development: Develop and maintain secure RESTful APIs and asynchronous data pipelines to ingest supplier feeds and syndicate product content. 　•　Collaboration: Participate in regular meetings with overseas clients to gather technical requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with project goals. 　•　Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve system bottlenecks, data synchronization conflicts, and technical challenges to maintain project momentum. Requirements: 　•　Experience: 3 to 5 years of software development experience, with a strong background in e-commerce, ERP, PIM, or data-heavy backend systems. 　•　Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. 　•　Language Proficiency: Strong command of English (both verbal and written) to effectively communicate with international clients and teammates. 　•　Personal Attributes 　　-　Analytical mindset with a sharp eye for data structures and relational logic. 　　-　Proactive, self-motivated, and an open-minded team player. 　　-　Quick learner with the ability to master complex business domains rapidly. Technical Skills: 　• Programming Languages: Highly proficient in Java for core backend development. 　• Frameworks & Libraries 　　-　Spring Framework: Experience in building and maintaining enterprise applications using Spring and Spring Boot. 　　-　ORM Tools: Experience with Hibernate, JPA for robust object-relational mapping. 　　-　EJB: Experience with EJB would be a plus. 　• Database Management 　　-　Strong, production-proven knowledge of SQL for complex querying, indexing, and performance tuning. 　　-　Extensive experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL). 　　-　Solid ability to design, normalize, and optimize database schemas for high-throughput data processing. 　• Integration Tools: Knowledge of event-driven streaming and message brokers such as Kafka and SQS. 　• Version Control: Proficient in using Git-based workflows preferably GitLab. 　• Testing & Quality Assurance: Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito) and automated unit/integration testing. Preferred Qualifications 　• E-commerce & Data Systems: Direct experience working with PIM, MDM (Master Data Management), or complex catalog systems. 　• Containerization & Orchestration: Practical experience with Docker. 　• Cloud Platforms: Experience with GCP and AWS cloud development would be a plus.
