      •Preparation of strategic business plans for the hotel specifically pertaining to event sales and development both at the local level and in consonance with guidelines stipulated by MOHG. •The Event Sales Executive will support and strengthen the hotels position and culture with regards to LQE and the Mandarin Oriental Golden Pillars by constantly engaging fellow colleagues in all disciplines and will serve as custodian and role model. •Answers all incoming inquiries pertaining to dry events, social events such as well as company dinner & dance •Qualifies each business opportunity based on budget and attendance. •Determines availability of space based on yield management principles- attendance, prime dates etc. •Accountable for achieving the Hotel’s function room average rate and occupancy targets, as laid out in the Marketing Plan. •Conducts site inspections (if necessary) for confirmed events. •Receives “turn-over” documentation to ensure that information is accurate and that the appropriate function space and guest rooms are secured •Ensures receipt of all signed documents from customer and communicates room block information to the Events department •Manages all details of the event including food and beverage, meeting specifications, audio-visual equipment, guestroom block, deposit follow up and VIP requests. •Presents unique selling points to prospective clients to gain an advantage over the competitor.
