Job Summary AOI is looking for a VCSEL Chip Product Engineer who will be responsible for VCSEL mask layout, process, and test procedure, tracking the operation process of chip products, optimizing the production process and operation process. This role is also responsible for assisting in the failure analysis of related products, and coordinate resource design DOE to confirm the source of abnormalities to help improve product quality. This position will report to the AVP of the R&D VCSEL department. Responsibilities Responsible for VCSEL chip design, mainly responsible for mask layout, process, test procedure, wafer qual and BI procedure, etc Track the operation process of chip products, optimize the production process and operation process Responsible for tracking the abnormality of the chip process, summarizing and analyzing the root cause of the abnormality, and recommending corrective measures Responsible for R&D-related data analysis, feedback information to help optimize product design and manufacturing process, and improve product performance and yield Assist in the failure analysis of related products, and coordinate resource design DOE to confirm the source of abnormalities to help improve product quality Prepare production work instructions and production process documents, implement the implementation of corresponding specifications and give regular feedback Qualifications Bachelor degree or above, or recent PhD graduate, major in optoelectronics, semiconductor materials, physics and other related majors. Familiar with the principle of semiconductor devices, the basic principles of laser chips (VCSEL, EEL, etc.), understand the basic fab process and related test parameters Strong data analysis ability, proficient in using one or more of Excel, JMP, Minitab, AutoCAD and other software is preferred Python, VB, Matlab programming skills are preferred Good learning ability, team spirit, communication and coordination skills

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for the development and execution of all quality perspective and its subsidiaries and operations in optical components, including but not limited to RMA FA, RMA status analysis, inline quality control, final quality control, and regulations. The successful candidate will be a quality-minded engineer, with a firm grasp on quality practice in optical component matters, failure analysis, and risk assessment. Job Duties • Failure analysis and report to the production line. • Inspection result analysis and risk assessment. • Inspection criteria and sampling size address. • 8D and HTOL report address. • RMA status and information tracking. • Customer special request DOE design and execution.
The Process Integration Engineer will be responsible for semiconductor process integration in optical laser fabrication. The Engineer should have experience with front-end and back-end-of-line productions, along with packaging, testing, and reliability processes. Candidates should have a good understanding of reliability evaluation techniques and failure analysis experience. The Engineer will collaborate with other individuals and functional teams, define projects, address issues, develop improvement plans, and finally to document and deliver the desired end results. Job Duties •Work with process engineers to develop processes to maximize operational efficiency. •Optimize current processes to improve manufacturability, yield and performance of products. •Work with process integration team to implement and integrate new/improved process workflow. •Communicate process data and actions through meetings, presentations, and report to management and monitor process stability through ongoing review of yield and quality performance metrics. •Review reliability data and investigate the root cause, and conduct failure analysis using internal and external resources. •Review layout of product design structure for understanding and finding any issues related to design. •Interact and coordinate with production engineering team to resolve yield and quality issues. •Resolve action items on a timely basis to meet product development goals. •Provide training and guidance to Junior Engineers or technicians as needed. •Maintain documentation for new and improved processes for reference purposes.
We are seeking an engineer related to the field of compound semiconductor manufacturing. The engineer will primarily be responsible for fabricating compound semiconductors inside a clean room environment, ensuring that production line tools have maximized uptime, analyzing process data such as SPC charts, and addressing issues when necessary. Job Duties •Need to understand how to develop and/or maintain various wafer process steps including growth, photolithography, wet and dry etching, PECVD, metal deposition, electrolytic plating, and chemical/mechanical polishing of compound semiconductor wafers. •Analyze or establish statistical process control (SPC), process yield analysis, and maintain tool performance/uptime metrics. •Compiles and evaluates experimental data to generate reports for process improvement and new process development projects. •Implement process improvement changes and new process introduction through the proper ECR procedures. •Need to understand the basic maintenance and calibration of production tools including but not limited to, MOCVD systems, mask aligner, track coaters, hot plates, ovens, PECVD, ICP/RIE dry etchers, E-beam evaporators, rapid thermal processing, microscopes, SEM, AFM, wafer inspection, stackers, bar testers, die saws etc. •Verifies process conformance to controls and specifications utilizing inspection tools, such as optical microscopes, profilometers, ellipsometers, SEM, AFM, wafer inspection tools, etc. •Produces standard operating procedures, work order instructions, drawings, and other production line related documentation. •Training of various users based on SOP, work instruction, or other related documentation. •Provide training and guidance to Junior Engineers or technicians as needed. •Interfacing with contract manufacturers to maintain stable production yield and/or troubleshooting issues should they arise Requirements •Must be comfortable with working in a Class 100 clean room environment (full clean room attire) for extended periods of time •Must be comfortable handling chemicals, including corrosive acids, bases, and solvents under exhausted wet hood environment with PPE to do perform daily activities. •Must be comfortable with working with high voltage electronics •Must be capable with utilizing general hand tools •Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Power point, Excel, Word, etc)
